Manchester United have received a massive injury boost with Angel di Maria and Marcos Rojo both expected to be fit for their weekend visit to Aston Villa.
United’s record signing di Maria is said to now be completely healthy after suffering a small tear in his hamstring against Hull City on November 29.
The winger was available against Liverpool, but Louis van Gaal did not want to risk a recurrence and gave the Argentine a further week to recover.
The Red Devils go to Villa in scintillating form with six wins on the bounce though they’ve hardly missed di Maria with the side managing three of those victories during his absence.
The report in Argentinian newspaper Ole also states that at present Rojo, United’s €20 million summer signing from Sporting Lisbon, is also fit and will be immediately thrust into the starting lineup.
However, the paper do say he will have a precautionary scan on Thursday to ensure there are no underlying issues.
Man United have seen a meteoric rise up the table in the past few weeks since their slow start under new boss van Gaal, but will go to Villa Park knowing a victory may well thrust them back into the title race.
