But perhaps the 6ft 7in frame of the striker has never been so obvious than in a recent snap Crouch posted on Twitter.
Whilst on a warm weather break with Stoke City in Dubai, the 34-year-old shared a picture with jockey Nathan Alison at Meydan racecourse and natural the resulting image has since gone viral with the 19 inch difference in height almost painfully obvious.
It certainly made our morning a little cheerier.
