PSG have already arrived in London ahead of their meeting with the Pensioners at Stamford Bridge and, following their convincing victory over Racing Club de Lens on Saturday, the team are confident that they can contend with Jose Mourinho’s side.

“It’s important not to think about previous years,” said Matuidi, speaking at the pre-match press conference. “We need to approach this match with only one objective: to score.

“I think we are better now than in the first match against Chelsea.”

Finally, Matuidi commented on the potential role that Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic could play in the match.

“[Zlatan] is a world-class player, he is very important for us. I hope he will score tomorrow.”

Chelsea and PSG meet at Stamford Bridge at 7.45pm UK time.
