There was an odd moment during the usually heated El Clasico last weekend which baffled many.
As Barcelona lined up to take a set piece, Pepe and Gerard Pique shared a sincere moment in what looked like a little catch-up between two old friends.
The usually manic Pepe enjoyed a calm chat with the Barcelona player during the biggest game in planet football.
Pique later revealed that Pepe asked him about his newborn child, the defender and his ‘pop icon’ wife Shakira having welcomed in their second son in January.

“At a corner Pepe asked about my second son and if he is a handful at home,” Pique revealed (via the Metro).
“So did [referee] Mateu Lahoz at one point when Ronaldo was attacking.”
Pique has been in wonderful form this season after suffering a dip from his usually high standards.
It can be difficult for a player to find motivation when you have won every trophy available to you by the age of 25, though it seems the former Man United man has since regained his hunger for the game.
