The Belgian has proven a massive hit since moving to Germany, the 23 year old is the Bundesliga’s leading assist maker according to ESPN, and the Metro states that Man United and Man City are linked with an interest in the Wolfsburg star.

De Bruyne would be open to a move back to the Premier League, according to the Metro, and the prospect of a return to West London is also one he hasn’t ruled out.

Jose Mourinho didn’t offer De Bruyne much of a chance to prove himself, the former Blues man making just three Premier League appearances, and one wonders if the Chelsea manager is in need of another creative midfield talent.

The likes of Oscar, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas are regulars in Mourinho’s first team set-up and as such there is perhaps no need to make a move to re-sign de Bruyne.
