The England international, who is currently on loan at Upton Park after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Emirates Stadium, could be allowed to leave this summer but is seemingly not keen on making the move to rivals Liverpool.

The Reds could do with more options in defence after a difficult season, with Glen Johnson falling out of favour in Brendan Rodgers’ plans and a number of different players struggling to impress consistently as a wing-back in the new 3-4-3 system deployed by the manager.

Jenkinson has impressed with West Ham this term and could be a good signing for Liverpool, but according to the Daily Star, he plans on staying on with the Hammers beyond this season after enjoying his time with the club.
