French midfield pair Morgan Schneiderlin and Paul Pogba are set to become two of the major transfer protagonists of the summer window.

Southampton man Schneiderlin has been targeted by fierce London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, while Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the France international.
Reports in France have recently indicated that Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on the former Racing Club de Strasbourg man.
However, PSG are also believed to be considering a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba. Should they decide to bid for the ex-Manchester United star, they will likely face competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona among others.
Which of these two midfield giants would be the better purchase for the Parisians?
Pogba is doubtless the more high-profile of the two, and has the experience of playing regularly in the Champions League and winning major domestic titles.
Offensively, Pogba contributes more than the Saints man. In 22 Serie A matches he has scored seven goals and contributed two assists, compared to four goals and one assist for Schneiderlin.
According to WhoScored, Pogba also averages more dribbles per game (three to Schneiderlin’s 0.6) and key passes (1.5 to Schneiderlin’s 0.8).
Defensively, however, the Premier League man contributes more.
He averages 3.7 tackles per match, 2.6 interceptions per match and wins 1.8 aerial battles per match, compared to 2.5 average tackles, 0.8 interceptions and 1.5 aerial battles for Pogba.
