The Argentine had already broken the Bavarian outfit’s defiance after they had held out against the La Liga leaders for 77 minutes. Once the 27-year-old had scored it seemed the floodgates opened and he added a second less than five minutes later.
Neymar ran on to a through ball from the four time Ballon d’Or winner in the fourth minute of injury time and finished calmly to finish the victory. This last goal might be the final nail in the coffin for the Bundesliga champions, with surely a three goal lead too much for them to come back from.
This will also have made Pep Guardiola’s first return to the Nou Camp as a manager of a different team even more miserable. He will now have to come up with something to somehow contain Messi before next week.
