New Manchester United signing Memphis Depay has prompted speculation over imminent team-mate Angel Di Maria’s future at the club by posting a Tweet indicating he could wear the famous number seven jersey next season.

The young Dutch winger is set to join United when the transfer window opens next month after it was revealed that PSV Eindhoven had accepted a reported fee of £25million (via BBC) for the 21-year-old, who has scored 21 goals in 28 league games this season.
Depay has received a warm welcome to the club by many United fans on social media, but his response has certainly aroused speculation that he would sport the number seven shirt at Old Trafford next season – which could signal the end of the road for Di Maria, who currently occupies that number.

The Argentine winger has been recently linked with a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich (via the Metro) after struggling to make much of an impact during his first season in English football following a big money move from Real Madrid last summer.
