Roberto Mancini’s side have been busy in the last two transfer windows after signing Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich in January, they completed a deal for highly-rated French international Geoffrey Kondogbia in the past week from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco [via Mail Sport].

Their plans to further strengthen the squad are showing so signs of slowing down as they plan to rescue either Salah and Cuadrado from difficult experiences in England.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim Inter have contacted the Blues over the wide-players and will be hoping to strike an agreement for at least one of the players in the coming weeks after both have failed to make much of an impact in the Barclays Premier League.

Salah spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter’s Serie A rivals Fiorentina, after being used as makeweight in a deal that took Cuadrado to Stamford Bridge in January.

The Egyptian was in fine form for Viola as he scored six goals in 16 appearances, while the Colombian struggled to adapt to the pace of English football and failed to score or register an assist in his 12 league games for the Blues.

Out of the two players, it’s more likely that Salah will be the one who is sold this summer and there are reports [via Standard Sport] that London rivals Tottenham are prepared to enter the race for the 23-year-old.

With Radamel Falcao on the verge of joining the Blues now that Colombia are out of the 2015 Copa America tournament [via Independent Sport], it would make sense to keep Cuadrado at the club to help his compatriot adjust to life in West London and that could bring out the best in both players next season.
