Premier League star among three targets Liverpool are monitoring to replace Mohamed Salah

Saudi Arabia are believed to be ready to launch another attempt to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool this summer and the Reds already have three replacements lined up.

The Egypt international was the subject of an offer worth £150m last summer from Saudi Arabian champions Al Ittihad and according to talkSPORT, Middle Eastern clubs will return at the end of the season with offers worth over £70m.

Salah is the Saudis’ top target ahead of the 2024/25 season given his importance and superstardom in that part of the world and with just one year remaining on his contract at Anfield, they will be confident of landing the winger.

The 31-year-old has been out of form lately but has overall been good for Liverpool during the current campaign.

An additional £70m would be welcomed by the Merseyside club’s new manager but a player like Salah is very hard to replace.

If the Egyptian superstar leaves, the Reds will be forced to do so and a new report states that the Premier League giants already have three targets on their shortlist.

Will Liverpool sell Mohamed Salah in the summer?

Liverpool have three targets to replace Mohamed Salah

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool may allow Salah to depart this summer and he could be replaced by Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz or Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

The Spaniard would be the most exciting out of the three given that he is still only 21 and has shown a lot of promise in La Liga. Neto would be one to avoid given his terrible injury record and Wirtz is a player better utilised centrally.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool are willing to part ways with their main goalscorer this summer as it is believed that Salah is settled on Merseyside and is in no major rush to leave the Reds.

The Premier League club will lose the player for free next summer if a new contract is not signed but the winger will not be worried about his future at present as Liverpool continue to fight for the Premier League title.
