Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado has been linked with a possible loan move to Juventus this summer after words from the Italian club’s sporting director Beppe Marotta.

According to Tuttosport, the Colombian international could make his way to Turin after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge, with Marotta open to bringing in the former Fiorentina man on a temporary deal, if Chelsea themselves would be willing to let him go under that arrangement.

Cuadrado has not impressed since joining the Blues in January, looking ineffective when occasionally used by Jose Mourinho, who has seemingly not been sufficiently impressed by the wide-man in training to allow him more chances in the starting lineup.

This has led to other reports of interest in the 27-year-old, with the Daily Express reporting earlier this week that Atletico Madrid were also looking to sign him.

With so much competition for places in Mourinho’s side, it may be that there is no future for Cuadrado in west London, with even fine players like Juan Mata, Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle before him struggling to break into the team against the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian in the attacking midfield department.

Still, given how much Cuadrado caught the eye in his first spell in Italy, it is little surprise to see Juve express an interest in bringing him back this summer, with Marotta quoted as saying: “If Chelsea opened the loan, we would be happy.”
