Arsenal and Liverpool target enters CRUNCH talks amid wide interest

Arsenal and Liverpool target Thiago Motta has entered contract talks with PSG amid growing interest in his signature, reports the Metro.

Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are also keen on the midfielder, who has just one year left on his current deal. The 32-year-old would make a great short-term signing for the interested parties, who would do well to add his experience to their squads.

The Italy international made 27 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, becoming a key part of the Parisian team’s midfield alongside Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi. He was also a regular in the Champions League, helping the French side to the quarter-finals of the competition after beating Chelsea in the last 16.

The Gunners could be especially interested in the midfielder after Francis Coquelin’s disappointing performance against Crystal Palace last Sunday. The Frenchman appeared to lose his cool after a yellow card and was lucky to stay on the pitch after several rash challenges. This may make manager Arsene Wenger try and get more experience in the role.
