VIDEO SPECIAL: New £21m Chelsea signing Pedro in Blues training for FIRST time

Chelsea confirmed the signing of Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez on a four-year contract on Thursday afternoon, as the Premier League champions beat Manchester United to the signing of the in-demand Spaniard.

The fee agreed is said to be £21million, and he becomes Chelsea’s fourth first team arrival this summer after Radamel Falcao, Asmir Begovic and Abdul Rahman Baba.

Reports on Wednesday evening claimed that a phone call with former Barca team-mate and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas over life in west London was key to his decision to swap the Camp Nou for Stamford Bridge.

And the duo were filmed heading out to training at Cobham, in what was Pedro’s first session with his new team-mates.

Chelsea next visit the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and the 28-year-old could make his first appearance for the club.
