The draw for this season’s UEFA Champions League group stage was made this afternoon and there has been a typically huge reaction on social media.

Of all the Barclays Premier League clubs, Chelsea will no doubt be the happiest as they were drawn with Dynamo Kyiv, Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Blues manager Jose Mourinho’s former club Porto, whom he won this competition with in 2004.

Arsenal will renew their recent rivalry with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and their clashes at the Emirates Stadium and the Allianz Arena will be eagerly anticipated.

The two other teams in the group are Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb.

Manchester United, who are back in the competition after missing out last year, have a straight-forward group as they will face CSKA Moscow, VfL Wolfsburg and PSV Eindhoven.

Meanwhile Manchester City’s curse of always getting a tough group continued as they will face Serie A giants Juventus, last season’s Europa League winners Sevilla and German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
