Celebrity Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan has launched a fresh stinging attack on Arsene Wenger after the club failed to sign an outfield player during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners manager has added just Petr Cech to his first team squad since the end of last season as his reported attempts to bring in a world class central midfielder and striker ended in failure.
There had been much optimism from fans of the north London outfit at the start of the summer following the arrival of the Czech goalkeeper from rivals Chelsea and there had been speculation that Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema was on Wenger’s radar.
However, the Frenchman committed his future to the Liga BBVA giants and that left his compatriot searching for an alternative on deadline day, but was unable to bolster his squad and that left Morgan extremely upset.
After calling for Manchester United legend Gary Neville to replace Wenger as manager of the Gunners on Tuesday evening, Morgan launched an epic rant at the French boss on talkSPORT.
