Chelsea news: PSG plot ambitious Blues raid

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping an eye on Jose Mourinho‘s situation at Chelsea this season as his future looks uncertain at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues have had a difficult start to the season, winning two of their first six games in the Premier League, though that did include a morale-boosting victory at home to Arsenal this Saturday.

Still, there have been shock results against the likes of Crystal Palace and Everton that suggest all may not be well at Chelsea, with the Express also reporting that Mourinho’s very public spat with club doctor Eva Carneiro could lead to an FA charge, although it remains unlikely.

Mourinho is in his second spell as Chelsea manager, and notably left the club in difficult circumstances back in 2007, so it is perhaps unsurprising that PSG are considering a move to snap him up if he ends up quitting or being axed again.

The Ligue 1 giants have dominated the French top flight in recent years, but it is the Portuguese coach’s experience in the Champions League that will be appealing to them as they look to go to the next level in Europe.

The French champions have been unable to turn their domestic form into convincing displays on the biggest stage in Europe’s top club competition consistently, but two-time winner Mourinho could help them achieve their dreams and lift the trophy.
