The attacking duo could well boost the Anfield side’s options in the final third with Liverpool having managed just eight goals in eight Premier League fixtures thus far this season.
Sassuolo forward Berardi has proven a big success in recent seasons, scoring 15 and 16 goals respectively in his two completed Serie A campaigns with the Italian minnows, and the 21-year-old is rightly considered one of the hottest prospects in European football.
23-year-old Napoli man Jorginho is said to be valued as £22m and is another Klopp target and a move for the former Verona man could prove realistic given that the Brazilian has started just three of Napoli’s seven Serie A fixtures in 2015/16 and a move to the Premier League could tempt the midfielder.
Klopp takes over a Liverpool side that has started the season in decidedly average fashion with a number of signings brought in by Brendan Rodgers over the summer still to deliver.
