Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has come in for some heavy criticism over the past year, but there is now one stat (via Metro) that shows some of the flak he’s been getting is slightly unfair.
When Giroud bagged his header against Everton at the weekend, he became the striker with the best goals to minutes ratio in the Premier League.
Despite the stick he gets, the France international now averages a goal every 88.8 minutes for the current campaign so far.
The victory over Everton has now seen The Gunners go back top of the Premier League table, and puts Arsene Wenger’s men in a good position to push on for a real challenge for the title.
And as the stats below show, Giroud has played a huge part in their recent resurgence.
