Barcelona star confirms Lionel Messi COULD NOT “do it on a wet Tuesday night in Stoke”

Barcelona star Gerard Pique has answered the question that has been on every Premier League fan’s mind at one point or another: Could Lionel Messi do it on a wet Wednesday night in Stoke?”

It seems the answer is no!

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, former Man United defender Pique claimed that even though Messi is one of the world’s best players, he would struggle to replicate his form on a regular basis for a team like Stoke, before going on to explain that sides like Barca and Real Madrid would find playing in the Premier League difficult.

Barcelona are arguably miles ahead of even the best sides in England, but Pique doesn’t believe the team would have much joy if they were competing for the Premier League title.

“I think that if Barcelona or Real Madrid goes to the Premier League then the first year of playing there, there is no chance of winning it,” Pique tells the Telegraph’s Jason Burt.

“Yes, I think so, because if you go to Stoke, or other types of teams, then it will be really tough. It’s a debate – we could spend hours on it. If Manchester United or Chelsea go to Spain then the same. No chance to win the league.”
