Man United target move for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle

Manchester United are believed to be looking into a deal to sign Southampton striker Graziano Pelle during the January transfer window, according to the Metro.

The Italian international has been in fine form so far this term, bagging himself six goals in 12 appearances in the Premier League (via Metro).

And now a report in the Daily Telegraph claims that Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has been impressed with his performances and is keen to add some more firepower to his attacking line.

United have also recently been heavily linked with a move for Pelle’s Southampton teammate Sadio Mane, as the likes of Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay have both struggled for form this term.

Should they put a move into practice, this would be the second raid on the south coast club in successive transfer windows having already signed midfield patroller Morgan Schneiderlin over the summer.
