Man City & Arsenal transfer target has ‘excellent relationship’ with teammate as rumours persist

In light of recent speculation linking Mauro Icardi with a move away from Inter Milan, Nerazzurri star Stevan Jovetic has insisted that he has a positive relationship with his teammate.

The skipper—who is also an Argentine international—has been in and out of the side this season, amidst rumours of a rift with coach Roberto Mancini [Goal].

Even with ongoing tension between the two men, Inter have shone this season, and headed into the winter break atop the Serie A table, having amassed 36 points from their opening 17 matches.

Icardi has found the net seven times in 14 outings so far, and both Manchester City and Arsenal have been linked to the 22-year-old.

The Gazzetta dello Sport [via the Manchester Evening News] have reported that the Citizens would be willing to bid £30 million for the forward, although Tuttosport [via the Metro] insist that the attacker could yet move to Arsenal if his partner, Wanda Nara, prefers London to Manchester.

Perhaps seeking to dispel rumours linking the attacker with a move away from Lombardy, Jovetic has sought to dispel rumours that there is tension between himself and Icardi.

“People talk, but we have an excellent relationship,” Jovetic began, speaking to Mediaset [as per Goal].
