Arsenal have a lot of injuries at midfield and a lot of questions about their young players at the positions that still need to be answered as they attempt to make a Premier League title run. With plenty of young midfield options available, Arsene Wenger appears ready to open the wallet for a pair of stars in the making: PSG’s Adrien Rabiot and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka.
According to Bleacher Report, Arsenal are planning to make transfer offers for the two young midfielders that could cost as much as £52 million to complete. The two central midfielders are both rated very highly and both have performed comparably with Arsenal starting midfielder Francis Coquelin, who is battling injuries.
Xhaka has been capped 39 times for Switzerland but has a lot of problems with his excessive physicality, earning a red card five times in Bundesliga – the youngest player to ever do so.
Rabiot was on the short-list for the Golden Boy award this past year but has seen his reps plummet this season.
