Man United confirm new deal for starlet Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has confirmed that the club will soon be making an announcement over a new deal for young breakthrough star Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, the Metro reports.

The defender has been drafted into the first team sooner than first thought this season, thanks largely to Luke Shaw’s horrific leg break during the Champions League back in September.

He had made a name for himself in United’s under-21s last season, and has seemingly fit in without any problems to the first team this time around.

And van Gaal has confirmed that he is in line for a new deal to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

“We are dealing with that of course but you have to wait for an announcement from the club,” said Van Gaal.

“We have coped with injuries for the whole season and it that also delivers young players out of our youth system.

“It’s a good policy and I’m happy with Borthwick-Jackson and Jesse Lingard because of that policy they have had that chance.”
