John Obi Mikel doesn’t really do goals. He’s more into facial banter and meaty tackles.
But he has scored first the first time since 2014 this evening to give Chelsea a crucial away goal in their Champions League last 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nigerian lump finished like a boss in first-half stoppage time to pull the Blues level in the first leg, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s deflected free-kick had given Ligue 1’s runaway table-toppers a lucky lead.
Mikel has now netted six times in 356 Chelsea appearances.
