Manchester United are believed to be considering selling star striker Wayne Rooney after receiving a huge offer for his services from China, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The England skipper has been linked with a move to Chine since last year, but has recently been ruled out for the next two months with a knee injury.
And the report is now claiming that a lucrative offer has come through for the 30-year-old to take him to the far east at the end of the current campaign.
United are ready to accept this offer as well, aware of Rooney’s age and that this may be the only opportunity they get to make some serious money from him, but will only allow it to go ahead if they are able to bring in a big name replacement.
The deal would see Rooney become the world’s highest paid player as he would bring in a stunning salary of £500,000-per-week.
