Even in an FA Cup match predominantly featuring their second-team starters, Arsenal could not escape the injury bug as it seemed the bites were reserved exclusively for their key players.
During the 4-0 win over Hull City to move into the final eight of the FA Cup tournament, no fewer than three players who feature prominently on the starting XI were forced out with injuries: Per Mertesacker, Gabriel and Aaron Ramsey.
Fans took to Twitter to quickly vent their frustrations that even in winning the cupcake tournament they couldn’t escape the injury plague which has damaged their hopes in the Premier League too.

Arsenal are the two-time defending FA Cup champions, but their failures in the Champions League knockout round (currently trailing 2-0 to Barcelona with a trip to Camp Nou on the schedule next week) – not to mention an eight-point hole in the Premier League have emotions at a seemingly all-time high.
Mertesacker, Gabriel & Ramsey all injured for Arsenal. The price u pay for not beating Hull at home in #FACup Major blows for title chances
