Gareth Bale could deal DOUBLE-BLOW to Manchester City this week

With Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale set to lead the La Liga giants against Man City in the Champions League this coming week – with or without Cristiano Ronaldo – he could easily end the impressive run by the Citizens in its tracks in Spain this week. However, the Welsh superstar could deal a double-blow to the club and future manager Pep Guardiola with the latest news about his future.

According to a report from the Express, Real Madrid have opened up talks with Bale about a contract extension and he could re-commit his long-term future to the team this week. Bale is considered one of the top players on Pep Guardiola’s transfer list when he takes over at Etihad Stadium next season.

Man City and Real Madrid will face off at the Bernabeu on Wednesday in the second-leg of the Champions League semi-finals, with the teams tied 0-0 on aggregate.

Bale has 19 goals and 10 assists in La Liga this campaign but just one assist in the Champions League.
