Hazard can’t wait to meet Mourinho again

They won the Premier League and Capital One Cup double together in 2015.

And Eden Hazard produced his best season ever under Jose Mourinho, earning the PFA Player of the Year award for his fine form.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December, but he’s back in English football now, having been appointed as Manchester United’s new boss.

Hazard is looking forward to meeting his former manager again and says he can’t wait for the first fixture between Chelsea and United next season.

He told Sky Sports: “Mourinho is a fantastic manager. I wish him good luck for the next season.

“I can’t wait and just want to play against Manchester United. He’s a good manager with a lot of experience. He’s at a big club now and he will just want to win games.”

Hazard endured a dismal campaign this term – as did Chelsea, who finished 10th –  but the Belgian winger did show glimpses of brilliance from April onwards, as he scored four goals in his side’s final four Premier League games.

Chelsea’s recent record against United is very good. The Blues are unbeaten in 10 matches with the Red Devils, although half of those games were draws.

Hazard has scored three goals in 10 previous meetings with United.
