French ace offered £100,000-a-week to ward off Arsenal, Chelsea & PSG interest

In an effort to keep star midfielder N’Golo Kante with the team for their Premier League title defense and inaugural Champions League campaign, Leicester City are sparing no expense.

According to the Telegraph, Leicester City are offering Kante an improved contract worth £100,000-a-week to keep him at King Power Stadium. The new deal is an effort to keep the 25-year-old Kante happy rather than see him jump to Arsenal, Chelsea or Ligue 1 giants PSG – all of whom have the French midfielder high on their respective transfer lists.

Kante was acquired from French outfit Caen this past summer in a £5.6 million switch, and he immediately became one of the most dominant central midfielders in the Premier League. He demonstrated superior skill in tackling, intercepting, creating lanes and dribbling – nabbing a goal and four assists during the season.

For his efforts, Kante earned a spot on the PFA Team of the Year and his first ever caps for the France national team.
