Man United boss Jose Mourinho faces losing the dressing room following brutal verbal assault

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is at risk of losing the respect of his dressing room following the Red Devils third consecutive defeat according to The Sun.

The report states that Several senior players and Luke Shaw were shocked by Mourinho’s verbal assault after United’s defeat to Watford FC on Sunday.

The Portuguese tactician publicly slammed full-back Shaw during the post-match interview.

“And when he was inside the box we were not confident enough to tackle,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by The Sun.

“For the second goal, Amrabat receives the ball and our left-back is 25 metres from him instead of five.”

“But even at 25 you have to jump and go and press. But no, we wait.

“This is a tactical but also a mental attitude. It’s something that doesn’t become perfect in a couple of weeks. So we have to improve, no doubt.”

Shaw was substituted off the field just two minutes after Juan Zuniga scored. The 21-year-old has only recently returned from a broken leg he suffered last season and has also been carrying a groin injury.

The report goes onto state that Mourinho has also lost patience with Wayne Rooney who he is set to drop.

The Red Devils take on Northampton in the League Cup tomorrow as they look to avoid their forth consecutive defeat before facing Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend.
