Former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc reportedly has his eye on the Old Trafford hot-seat.
Current manager Jose Mourinho has only been in charge of the Red Devils since May, but – despite beating Manchester City in the EFL Cup last night – the Special One has endured a tough start to life Up North.
Premier League defeats to City, Watford and Chelsea, as well as a loss in Europe to Feyenoord, have piled pressure on Mourinho.
And Blanc – who made 48 Premier League appearances for United between 2001 and 2003 – is said to be watching events at his old club with interest.
Blanc is currently out of work, having received a €22m pay-off upon leaving PSG earlier this year, according to AS.
AS also report that Blanc is a leading candidate to become the next manager of Inter Milan, but the Spanish publication cite claims made by Le Parisien that the 50-year-old could reject advances from the Serie A club in favour of waiting for Mourinho to get sacked.
Blanc was PSG manager for three full seasons and he won the Ligue 1 title three times with the Paris giants.
