Former Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie suffered a torn eyelid in Fenerbahce’s win last night.
The Dutchman had already scored when an off the ball incident saw him go down in pain clutching his face. You can see him being treated by the side of the pitch in the picture below.
Initial fears were that the 33 year old may have suffered serious damage, but they were quickly quashed by reports from the club that the striker had a torn eyelid but had suffered no damage to the eye itself.
