Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to give the Chile international Alexis Sanchez a winter break in the next few weeks, according to the Daily Mail.

Per-the-source, the French tactician is keen to avoid the former Barcelona man from suffering from burn-out. The report goes on to states that Wenger wants to ensure Sanchez is firing for the season finale.

Sanchez has made 16 appearances for the Gunners so far this season, the most of any player in the Arsenal squad. The 28-year-old has also made several long haul journeys to South-America to star for the Chile national team.

The former Barcelona man played the full 90 minutes with strapping during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Arsenal currently find themselves in forth place in the Premier League, three points behind league leaders Chelsea.

The north London based club take on PSG in the UEFA Champions League in a shoot-out for top spot in their group.
