Pep Guardiola confident he can tempt Real Madrid midfield maestro to Manchester City despite two previous failed attempts

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is plotting a summer move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to The Sun.

Isco emerged as one of the world’s most exciting young talents during his time at Malaga, and it came as no surprise when he made the switch to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013. It could be argued that he hasn’t fulfilled his potential during his time at the Bernabeu, however, and among the preposterous amount of attacking talent Zinedine Zidane has at his disposal – he can’t be considered as one of Real’s key players.

Guardiola could well be set to take full advantage of that, with The Sun reporting that he already has one eye firmly locked on the 24-year-old ahead of a potential move in the summer of 2017.

As per The Sun, City have failed in two previous attempts to sign Isco in the past, but Guardiola is confident that he can lure the Spanish international to the Premier League.

It would be intriguing to see how Guardiola would fit Isco into the attacking areas of his midfield. The Spaniard already has David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Yaya Toure, Leroy Sane and Nolito at his disposal
