Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to reject any offers that the club receive for winger Ashley Young, with the winger set to stay at Old Trafford for this coming season, as per the Sun.

Young, who only managed to make 12 league appearances for Old Trafford last season, has been linked with a move to Stoke according to the Sun, however Mourinho reportedly has the midfielder in his first-team plans for the season.

England international Young only has 12 months left on his contract with the Red Devils, and United boss Mourinho is more than happy to let the deal run down and the former Chelsea boss believes he can use the player in his team, as reported by the Sun.

Young joined the former Premier League champions from Aston Villa in 2011, and since then has managed 14 goals and 32 assists in 164 appearances for the Manchester club.

Should Young still be at United come September 1st, it’ll be a big boost for Red Devils boss Mourinho, as it would allow former Real Madrid boss a lot more options to choose from not only going forward, but also in defence due to Young’s versatility as a player.
