Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will make a comeback to football management by taking charge of the England team for this summer’s Soccer Aid charity match.
Lampard has been unemployed since leaving Chelsea last summer but now the Stamford Bridge fan favourite is ready to make a return to football.
Just five days before the start of Euro 2024, on Sunday, June 6, Soccer Aid for UNICEF will take place at Stamford Bridge.

Along with his uncle Harry Redknapp, Lampard will be co-managing the England squad. The 2012 Champions League winner has shown interest in participating in Soccer Aid this year.
The return of recently retired Chelsea star Eden Hazard to west London for the first time in five years, however, may hold greater significance for the supporters of Stamford Bridge.
He is a member of the World XI squad led by Mauricio Pochettino, the current manager of the Blues, and Jesus Perez, his assistant.

According to a statement he released, Lampard is excited to be back at Stamford Bridge.
He said, as quoted by GOAL: “Playing in front of a sold-out crowd at Stamford Bridge is special – for any player, on any occasion.
“I’m excited to be doing that again – this time with Soccer Aid for UNICEF. Managing the Soccer Aid England team with Harry Redknapp will be a proud moment and great fun – but the main focus is rightly on the millions of pounds we can all raise together.”
With Jermain Defoe, Jack Wilshere, Stuart Broad, and Sir Mo Farah among the Three Lions’ squad, England are expected to field a star-studded lineup for the game. However, Hazard—a former Chelsea player who is playing for the Rest of the World team—will probably stand out.
