Another star of Euro 2008 greatly interests Arsene Wenger and apparently a move to the Emirates could be imminent….
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to make a £10million bid for Russia’s Euro 2008 star Andrei Arshavin
Wenger has already spoken to Zenit St Petersburg chief Dick Advocaat about the talented forward who has the kind of flair Wenger loves – and may need if he loses any players this summer.
And pals of Arshavin (right), who has a fixed price clause in his contract, claim Arsenal are one of only two Premier League clubs he would join – with the other being Chelsea. (Daily Mirror)
Arshavin is a player of real quality, which was evident throughout last season’s UEFA Cup run and was there for all to see last night as he helped mastermind a victory over Sweden. It really could have been more comprehensive than the 2-0 scoreline, talking of which, did Arsenal fans notice Freddie Ljungberg’s truly inept performance?. Anyway back to Andrei, do Arsenal fans think that the Russian could be a good investment?
