Arsene Wenger is apparently still on the tail of a long term target, will he get his man?
Arsenal are once again targetting Portsmouth’s attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar.
Kranjcar, 23, said: “Obviously I am flattered with the interest of some clubs, but it is up to Portsmouth to decide what will happen. If they are willing to sell me, then I can talk about other clubs.” (Mail on Sunday)
After Croatia’s thrilling exit at the hands of ‘never say die’ Turkey Niko will probably want some time to recuperate after a long season and consider his options. The 23 year old is in a similar boat to Lassana Diarra both players excelled last season and both players are considered by many to be too good to be playing at Fratton Park however they both love playing for Harry Redknapp and after all they will be competing in Europe next season which is quite an achievement and gives them something to build on, but will the Frenchman and £12m rated Niko still be on the south Coast come the beginning of the season? Do Arsenal fans think that Niko can do a good job at the Emirates and do Pompey fans think they can convince they can keep their top players?
