Gunners fans are eagerly awaiting some new arrivals at the Emirates, could this midfielder be on his way to the Emirates?
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could step up his interest in Sporting Lisbon’s Miguel Veloso.
Italian rivals Juventus ended their pursuit of the talented Portuguese midfielder last week.
With pre-season training resuming tomorrow for those Gunners not involved in international action over the summer or recovering from injury like Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby, the Arsenal manager will soon see first hand just what he has available for the battles ahead. (Daily Mail)
£24m-valued Veloso would be an ideal Flamster replacement, but is more than slightly overpriced. Arsene is playing the transfer market very well and is refusing to panic, the Nasri deal seems to be taking an age to complete and the lack of new additions may well be worrying Arsenal fans given the likely exit of Hleb and Adebayor.
However, Wenger is keeping calm and I am sure he knows exactly what he is doing. Should the Gunners really bid this much for the 22-year-old Portuguese international?
