A genius idea…We wish we thought of it!
The dudes at DirtyTackle came up with a brilliant idea and that idea is based around the premise of considering what would happen if the referee hadn’t blown his final whistle and the game simply continued? I realise that my description of these series of articles is not really doing it any justice, so why not simply see below to get more of an idea.
Manchester United didn’t need a win against Arsenal on Saturday in order to collect their winners medals and that’s just how they played the 0-0 formality. The game couldn’t have ended soon enough for the Old Trafford crowd, but what if it had continued? (dirtytackle.net)

Now you have to admit it is funny and an idea so good that I am fairly certain it was somehow removed from my sub-conscious in a manner not unlike in the movie ‘The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’.
