Out of favour Aston Villa full-back Alan Hutton is set to complete a move away from the club after the Villa Park club loan him to Real Mallorca for the remainder of the season.

Scotland international Hutton has not played for Villa this season since the arrival of new manager Paul Lambert, who left him out of the club’s 25-man Premier League squad, and was loaned out to Nottingham Forest earlier in the campaign.

He was told he could leave the club during the January transfer window and has finalised a deal to join La Liga side Real Mallorca, subject to completing a medical, according to Aston Villa’s official website.

The 28-year-old, who cost Aston Villa £3million when signing from Tottenham in 2011, will provide a boost to Real Mallorca’s relegation chances as they looked to stave off the threat of dropping in the Segunda Division.

Hutton’s fellow full-back Stephen Warnock, who has also been left out of the 25-man squad this season, is also expected to leave Villa Park before the end of the transfer window with West Ham set to sign him on a free transfer.
