Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk has issued Chelsea with a ‘come and get me’ plea according to The Metro.

The Brazilian striker signed for the Russian club for a fee reported to be in the region of £40 million.

But the player has struggled to adapt to life in Russia, and has fallen out with both the club’s fan and players.

Hulk’s arrival reportedly caused dressing room unrest at Zenit, with a number of the club’s more established stars depending to be given new contracts with wages equal to Hulk’s deal.

The player has also proved unpopular with the club’s fans and Hulk looks destined to leave the club come the summer.

Should Hulk join the club, that raises the mouth-watering prospect of a potential partnership with the Blues’ other top summer transfer target, Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao.

With Hulk set to cost in the region of £45 million, Chelsea could be looking at starting the season with a front-line costing the club over £100 million.

Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to splash the cash on attacking reinforcements after finally running out of patience with misfiring Spanish striker Fernando Torres.

The former Liverpool striker has failed to replicate his form for the Anfield club since arriving for £50 million in 2011 and Abramovich looks ready to cut his losses and let Torres leave this summer.
