Chelsea’s Frank Lampard is reportedly ready to turn down an offer to move to the United States according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The England midfielder’s contract is due to expire at the end of the current season.

The Stamford Bridge side have shocked the club’s fans by failing to offer the player a new deal.

Lampard continues to show he is able to cut it at Premier League level as he is currently Chelsea’s top scorer in the Premier League this season.

Lampard’s impressive form has seen him linked with a number of top European sides.

The likes of Mancheter United, Inter Milan and Juventus have all been touted as potential destinations for the player in recent months.

MLS side LA Galaxy were also thought to be amongst the front runners for the player’s signature after offering Lampard a lucrative deal to move to California.

But Lampard now looks set to wait until the end of the season before deciding his future.

The midfielder is keen to see who the club appoint as successor to interim boss Rafa Benitez.

Jose Mourinho has been strongly linked with a return to Stamford Bridge and it is thought the Portuguese boss would make offering Lampard one of his top priorities where he to return to the club.
