Danish midfielder insists fee is for ‘clubs to agree’.
Ajax midfielder has put a number of clubs on alert after insisting that a reported £17 million price tag is ‘for the clubs’ to negotiate according to Inside Futbol.
Eriksen is one of the most highly rated young midfielders in Europe after a number of impressive displays for Ajax in recent seasons.
A host of top sides are thought to be monitoring his availability ahead of a summer move for the player.
Eriksen’s contract with Ajax expires at the end of next season and it is thought the Dutch giants will look to move the player on this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing in a year’s time.
The likes of Liverpool and Tottenham are thought to be leading the chase for Eriksen’s signature.
The player has now given the clearest signal yet that he is on the verge of leaving the club by stating that a reported £17 million price tag for his services is ‘for the clubs’ to agree on.
Eriksen admitted that the figure was a lot but insisted it was not his place to get involved in such negotiations.
Eriksen has netted an impressive eight goals, and laid on thirteen for his team-mates, in just 28 appearances this season for the Dutch giants.
