Premier League target wants England move.
Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has confessed to his admiration for the Premier League as speculation surrounding his future continues to grow, according to The Express.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move to England with both Spurs and Liverpool thought to be the frontrunners for his signature, and he has cast further doubt over his future following an interview after Ajax secured their third straight Eredivise title on Sunday.
In an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf he remained coy when asked about his future plans.
“I did not think about that. Maybe that will come in the next days.”
“I didn’t hear anything from my agent but, if something shows up, I feel like trying. When nothing comes up, I’ll sign a new contract at Ajax because I want Ajax to earn something for me.”
Spurs had tried to sign the Danish international in the January transfer window but found their advances rejected. The Dutch giants then quickly tried to persuade him to sign a new deal with the club, which he has yet to do, but going by the words of his interview it appears that he has little intention of doing so.
