Colombian forward will join Monaco.
Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic has confirmed that Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao will be joining the club this summer, talkSPORT reports.
A number of clubs have reportedly come close to signing the powerful Colombian ahead of this summer’s transfer window with Chelsea thought to be the frontrunners after rumours of a secret meeting between club and player took place earlier this season.
However, news broke last week that the sought after striker would shock the football world by joining Ligue 1 newcomers Monaco for a year before moving on to Real Madrid the following season.
Club owner Dmitry Rybolovlev has targeted Falcao, amongst others, to build a squad capable of rivalling PSG to the French league title and is reportedly ready to splash out £45 million to bring the 27-year-old to the principality.
And club goalkeeper Danjiel Subasic has given the clearest indicator yet that a deal in the works.
“I will tell you what I have heard, and that is that Falcao is 90 per cent coming to Monaco,” the Croatian international said.
“For sure, it is what they have told us, with only a small possibility that Monaco could only lose him if Real Madrid were to come in, but that is now unlikely.”
“If he does not leave for the Bernabeu, he will come to Monaco.”
