Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has admitted he would find an offer from Real Madrid hard to turn down according to BBC Sport.

The Uruguayan striker has endured a tumultuous time during his spell at Anfield. While he is much loved by the club’s fans and highly regarded by the Liverpool management, Suarez’s relationship with the English press has not been on anywhere near as good terms after a number of high profile incidents.

Suarez is currently serving a ten match ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic during one of Liverpool’s game near the end of the season.

Both club and player have expressed their belief that the ban was too harsh and arose as a result of the frenzy whipped up by the media.

Suarez now believes he is being victimised by the press and could leave the club this summer.

Liverpool are desperate to hold on to Suarez, he hit the back of the net thirty times last season.

But the club know their position is weakened by their continued absence from the Champions League.

They know Suarez could have his head turned by an offer from one of Europe’s biggest sides, with Madrid reportedly interested in the player as they look to rebuild in the post-Mourinho era.

‘It would be very difficult to say no to Real Madrid,’ said Suarez. ‘There are a lot of rumours in the transfer period, but you never know until firm offers are made. I’ve talked to my agent. There’s nothing concrete.’
