Leighton Baines- Everton
The Everton left back is regarded as one of the best full backs playing in the Premier League at the moment. Baines is solid when defending but is also exciting going forward, traits that United full backs need to have. Baines is also a dead ball specialist and has scored many wonderful goals from free kicks, another added bonus. Baines also enjoyed a strong relationship with David Moyes, Manchester United’s new manager. With Moyes being a great admirer of Baines, the Scot may decide to raid his former club for the left back. Moyes also has a problem at United in that first choice left back Patrice Evra is getting older and more injury prone. Moyes will have to replace Evra sooner or later and he may decide that the time is right. Baines would appear to be first choice is Moyes does do that. Baines is a left back in the Evra mould so he should fit in well if he were to move to Old Trafford. However, Everton are set to put up a fight and will want to keep hold of one of their prized possessions.
