Napoli star admits he would like to work with Mourinho.
Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has dropped his biggest hint yet that he could be set for a move to the Premier League this summer, after welcoming the chance to work with Jose Mourinho or Manuel Pellegrini.
According to ESPN, the Uruguayan currently knows little about his future and the negotiations between clubs, but he has admitted it would be tempting for him to play in the Premier League.
“I don’t know if they have made an offer, but I just know that to be coached by people like Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho would always be a pleasure,” Cavani said.
“When the time is right it would be great to play for one of those teams because as a child I always imagined doing it.”
Cavani’s performances have lit up Serie A in recent years, as he has established himself as one of the world’s best strikers. Following an excellent record of 104 goals in 138 games for the Italians, he has attracted strong interest from Real Marid as well as the Premier League giants.
Chelsea currently look favourites to sign him, having submitted a bid of £49.3million today, and with Napoli’s president hinting last week that talks had taken place over the player’s transfer to the Blues.
